Greetings future legal professional! I'm reaching out with some pivotal updates from the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) that could impact your LSAT preparations and strategies.
New Test Dates for October and November 2023:
Are you planning to take the LSAT in October or November? LSAC has made adjustments to the test dates to accommodate more test-takers:
- October 2023:Along with the previously scheduled dates of October 13th and 14th, there are now additional sessions on Sunday, October 15th and Monday, October 16th.
- November 2023: Originally slated for November 10th and 11th, LSAC has now included Wednesday, November 8th and Thursday, November 9th.
Both remote and in-person testing options are available for these dates, so you can choose the format that suits you best. Importantly, these additional dates won't alter the score release timings, so you can continue to plan your application timelines accordingly.
August LSAT Insights:
For those who took the August LSAT or have been following its updates, you might be aware of the initial challenges with remote proctoring. The good news: LSAC and their testing partner, Prometric, addressed these hitches promptly. As a result, the subsequent retest sessions had commendable completion rates – 98% for remote test takers and almost 100% for those who took it in-person.
A quick snapshot of August's statistics:
- 16,630 candidates completed their August LSAT.
- 60.6% (or 10,075 individuals) were first-time test-takers.
Interestingly, due to the initial setbacks, a significant number moved their registrations to September, making September's LSAT registration numbers swell. Anticipating the increased demand, LSAC has proactively added an extra testing day for September.
